CODE OF CONDUCT FOR THE PREVENTION OF COMMERCIAL SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS (CSEC) IN TOURISM
INTRODUCTION AND MANAGEMENT COMMITMENT
The company Cubikoo Travel, aware of its social and legal responsibility in the development of sustainable and ethical tourism in Colombia, expresses its total rejection of the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents (CSEC) within the context of travel and tourism.
In compliance with the provisions of Law 679 of 2001, Law 1336 of 2009, Resolution 3840 of 2009, and other related regulations, we hereby adopt this Code of Conduct as a mandatory internal policy for all our employees, associates, suppliers, and clients.
We understand that CSEC is a serious offence that violates the fundamental rights of minors and undermines the integrity of the tourism destination.
OBJECTIVE
To establish clear guidelines and action procedures to prevent, detect, and report any situation related to CSEC in the activities operated or marketed by Cubikoo Travel.
LEGAL REFERENCE FRAMEWORK
This code is based on the following current Colombian regulations:
Political Constitution of Colombia (Art. 44: Fundamental rights of children).
Law 679 of 2001 (Through which a statute is issued to prevent and counter exploitation, pornography, and sexual tourism involving minors).
Law 1098 of 2006 (Childhood and Adolescence Code).
Law 1336 of 2009 (Adds to and strengthens Law 679).
Law 1453 of 2011 (Public Security).
Resolution 3840 of 2009 (MinCIT – Adoption of Codes of Conduct).
COMMITMENTS OF CUBIKOO TRAVEL
Disclosure of Legal Warning: To include in all our advertising, printed material, website, social media, quotes, and contracts, the warning regarding the legal consequences of CSEC in Colombia, in accordance with Article 17 of Law 679 of 2001.
Staff Training: To periodically train all our personnel (direct and indirect) on the prevention of CSEC, warning signs, and the reporting procedure.
Supplier Selection: To inform our suppliers (hotels, transport providers, guides) about our zero-tolerance policy towards CSEC and demand compliance with current regulations. We reserve the right to terminate commercial relationships with suppliers who facilitate or tolerate these practices.
Information to Clients: To inform tourists, both domestic and foreign, about Colombian legislation protecting minors and to promote responsible tourism.
Reporting: To immediately report to the competent authorities any suspicious or confirmed facts related to CSEC identified during the development of our activities.
PROTOCOL FOR ACTION IN SUSPICIOUS CASES
Should any employee or associate of Cubikoo Travel identify a situation of risk or suspected CSEC (e.g. an adult requesting services to enter with minors without verifiable kinship or acting suspiciously at an accommodation or tour), they shall proceed as follows:
Do not confront the alleged aggressor directly to avoid putting oneself at risk or alerting them.
Collect as much information as possible discreetly (physical description, vehicle registration plates, location of the events, names if available).
Inform immediately the Manager or designated person in charge of the agency.
The designated person in charge will file an immediate report with the authorities through official channels:

VALIDITY AND APPLICATION
This Code of Conduct comes into force upon publication and will be reviewed annually. Any breach by agency staff will be considered a serious offence.
To report any breach of this Code, staff must exclusively use the official channels established on the agency’s website.
